I remember being very proud of my job with Panel 3 there.
Looking at it now, I still kind of like the effect, but I wish there wasn't such a hiccup around Mr. Fuck's chest.

Also, I really wish I had started using "Mr" before Fucks name much earlier. it would have made things a lot less confusing.

This last Rogue hero turned out really well. I liked the design, I had an easy time drawing it, and she didn't linger for too long. She told a few jokes and stacie killed her offscreen.

The composition on this page was so bad, I reopened the raw to this and practically redid all the word balloons. I hate the way the kerning is programed in photoshop is BALLS!

Ha! The dread king looks a lot different in this comic than he does later.

...on that note, one thing I've always hated drawing in this comic is characters holding phones to their head. I decided to get creative with how Fuck held his.
I love how expressive the scythe is in this page. I need to think like that more often.

I had a lot of trouble getting the right reactions out of people. Collin ended up getting a good one turning to a wooden golem... Stacie however did not get the right look at all.
But the look she had before was worse, I had this overly detailed version of her reaction and it did not work at all.
It's a shame too, because I wanted her reaction to remind and illustrate the Reputation "Negative 8 Ball girl had with Stacie.

Oh well, this one's just a mental block I'm better off moving past.

I don't think I ever got around to mentioning this this, The setting this fight takes place on is shaped like a trident. Stacie's S.U.I.T.  League alias, Pallas, the daughter of Triton and foster sister to Athena.
She ends up dieing in a Sparing match with her sister, much to Athena's regret.

Let's hope Ada doesn't do anything she'll regret, shall we?

Negative 8 Ball Girl's Adventure

Posting this mini Chapter all in one post to save time.

This mini arc is my favorite and it came at the most perfect time too. 

Drawing that Cake was a bother, though.

Wasps and Bees are probably my favorite running gag.

This character had quit a few concept designs to her before making it to the comic.

Also, drawing the cell bars around her without getting in the way of her appearance was a challenge.

Can't remember if I had her drop the cake on purpose, or if I improvised it after I realized she wasn't holding the cake on the previous page. 

I used to have a lot of trouble with Negative 8 Ball Girl's mask.

I don't remember it being as much of a problem this time, though.

I had higher hopes for Burn-eice. She didn't end up having as much energy and humor as I thought she would. Maybe I was just too frustrated to depict her correctly.
In any case, I don't plan on using her any more than she already has been. So never mind.

It's funny. This page pretty much sets the standard for how Collin and Quat treat each other throughout the rest of the story, and the only reason I had this conversation unfold was because I really wanted to do that crowbar joke. If I hadn't their scene's would be completely different.

This was just before I started using the Lasso tool for the word bubble arrows (it seems so obvious now. go figure).
In this page I continue to use the pencile tool to draw them and the get a little creative to avoid that rounded tip.
I like the coloring in this one, though. The residual vomit serves almost as a dramatic shadow.

How have I missed all these errors. I can tell Quat's Flashback is going to be full of problems.

I meant to bring the Mayor back into the story a few chapters back, but never got around to it. So this comic is more a lampshade to that.
Then again considering how long this ending has dragged out, I think I did reintroduce him at the right time.

Basically made up an elvish version of the internet to keep Alice's newspaper from seeming outdated. I like all the stuff that's developed from it though. I was going to go into further detail about how you can conjure up temporary clones of people, and use it to explain some of leon's creepier habits from the earlier stories. I felt it was better to not bring those things back up, though.

I remember really really really liking the design of Jody's boss. Not just for how it looked, but for how easy it was to draw in most angles. and to color.
I wish Shin was designed as well as this girl was. Damn it all, I knew how often I was going to be drawing that guy, you'd think I would have designed him a bit better. He's always the most frustrating one to draw.
