For the Final Day of Magic 8 Ball Girl's Fabulous Fanime Filler Week (yes, I know you hate it), we have Konata Izumi from Lucky Star dressed as Magic 8 Ball Girl
One good turn deserves another after all.
Magic 8 Ball Girl's Author hadn't even heard of Lucky Star until a month after the Pilot comic came out. So none of the characters in that show have done much to influence this series yet. Still, this feels like an appropriate way to end the filler week.
Tune in tomorrow for the Returning Adventures of Magic 8 Ball Girl!

Magic 8 Ball Girl's Nifty Filler Week continues.
Instead of dressing like anyone today, though, Ada will be simply be drawn in a style similar to Pete Abram's Sluggy Freelance.
Sluggy has not had any significant influence on the world of Magic 8 Ball Girl, but with this artist having read Sluggy for the past 5 years, it's bound to have numerous influences on this work.

As Magic 8 Ball Girl's filler week continues, she now crosses her look over with the Newest Female character from Pokemon, Hikari / Dawn.
"Wow, Ada. You even got the right hair color for this. How did you change it?"
Esoteric jokes aside, Magic 8 Ball Girl's costume design was most influenced by this character. So including this character in the filler week was a no brainer.

Magic 8 Ball Girl's Convention filler week Continues with character design crossings with SNK's Athena. One of Video game's earliest female leads...
Of course, the American Boxart was a little less skimpy. So western owners of this game grew up assuming Athena looked like this:
But what really secures her place in this filler week is her choice of weapons:
One of her first weapons was a blue hammer that, thanks to NES graphics, resembles a some sort of giant tobacco pipe
Most likely a deep influence on Magic 8 Ball Girl's weapon of choice.

Since this filler Week is on account of a convention. I decided a good way to start it off would be instructions for a practical Magic 8 Ball Girl Costume.
Let's start with the 8 Ball Vest. Wearing a giant 8 ball over your chest isn't going to be easy to pull off.
A vest like this one up here does the job just as well. The V-neck even hangs low enough to put the 8 for her.
Of course you need to wear some white under that for the rest of the chest area.
From there it's pretty open as long as the colors are as gray or monochrome as possible.
My best recommendation is for the shirt worn under the vest to be light, not baggy, and stretch below the waist (If the shirt can't stretch below the waist, a skirt of the same color should go under or over the shirt).
Long dress pants or faded black jeans also recommended.
Shoe's can be anything from loafers to heeled boots, but sandals should probably be avoided
In fact, that outfit in the above pictures a pretty good example all over. Still, here's more specific sketch. And there you are. A magic 8 Ball girl costume.
